Ready for a challenge? Looking for inspiration? Need something to nudge you into creating something? We’re starting a series of art
challenges based around a theme. It should be a fun way to push yourself
in your creativity! The theme for January and February is Monet’s
Waterlilies. Watch this video on Khan Academy for some background and
more ideas for different ways to interpret the paintings:
Remember this is just for
fun, so you don’t have to create a masterpiece. Look on it as a series of exercises to help you stretch and grow as an
artist. Take part in the #MonetChallenge and we’ll keep each other motivated! It’s like having a workout buddy to keep you accountable.
Let’s all help each other in our explorations, pushing ourselves to make something and see what everyone creates using the
same starting point!
|Don’t forget to share pictures along the way!
Tag them with #MonetChallenge, so we can all find them.
free to use the techniques and media of your choosing, and stretch the limits of
what you usually create. Then, when you’re done, share it with us on Facebook, our blog, or email. Share process pictures, failures, and thoughts you have along the way, and we can have a discussion about the art making process, too!
